It essentially is a Ranger that uses blood magic. It might be a perfectly competent class, but it should have just been variants of Ranger (subclasses). I would argue Blood Hunter is a prime example of this. Just because you can make a class with subclasses does not mean it fits into the existing structure of classes. I think a lot of them miss the point of a class in 5e and are far too specific. What 5e homebrew classes have you found that are both interesting and very balanced? and what are your opinions about 5e homebrew classes in general? You can see recent threads on this subject here and here for more ideas. getting a lot of use of this copy paste recently. Hope that helps find what you are looking for. but it's definitely the biggest Homebrew class out there. There's also the Blood Hunter, but I sort of assume people already know about it and have an opinion. I would give The Maledictor, Dragon Knight, and Warden honorable mentions, but wouldn't recommend them unless balance is less important to your group or you (the DM and the player) are willing to balance as you go if you run into problems. There are plenty more out there, but balancing a class is hard. Out of the many Homebrew classes, those are probably the only ones I'd recommend so far. Short of the Alternate Artificer Golemsmith, this is my favorite pet class out there. I'd recommend looking it over before you allow it, but it's pretty well done and offers something unique. The Soulbinder by FragSauce is a little harder to fit into 5e, but merits a mention as probably the best implementation of a summoner/binder/pet class I've seen in 5e. Along with Kibble's stuff and Blood Hunter, this is probably the only Homebrew class I would say is extensively playtested. If you want a barefist fighter and that doesn't break your immersion, I'd recommend taking a look. The Pugilist by Benjamin Huffman is only on the DM's guild (and costs money) but is one of the most popular Homebrew classes for 5e. Leaving aside KibblesTasty's stuff, there's some other cools stuff out there. They also have an Occultist if you go through the website linked above, but I think it's patreon only for the time being while everything above is free. Probably the most playtested Homebrew for 5e out there (with the exception of the Blood Hunter I guess). If you want to be able to include characters you otherwise cannot make, I still cannot recommend it highly enough.

The really impressive part here that it will make a character that fits seamless into a 5e group in terms of mechanics and balance, while coming from a class that has unparalleled customization. It can still make a lot of characters the official one cannot, and is more of a toolbox for making awesome balanced characters than a class. The Alternate Artificer isn't for everyone now that the official Artificer is out, but it merits mentioning. Most of the better versions of Warlord are imitations of this one. First time I really saw someone solve for the Warlord in 5e. This convinced me that Psion can be a standalone class, and that can use Psi Points. I would recommend all of their stuff but if you are looking for classes, these are their classes: If you are looking for Homebrew classes, you're are looking for KibblesTasty's stuff. From another post like this, I made a list of some of the best:
